Platform were appointed by the University of Cambridge, Queens’ and Darwin Colleges, to oversee the delivery of the Old Press Mill Lane North development, a proposed joint venture between the University and Colleges to regenerate this 5 acre site in Cambridge.

An historic and prominent site located in the heart of the city centre, it is set between the Colleges, University Centre and the river Cam. The development is constrained by its location, sensitive stakeholders, and its heritage, with a development programme phased over several years. Extensive work will be required to structure the development delivery company, assemble design teams for the different elements, develop a detailed planning application and deliver the development.

The development will seek to replace, remodel, refurbish and redevelop existing buildings to provide much needed student accommodation, academic space and retail as well as relieving existing infrastructure issues.
