People Detail

Liam Bond

Liam has 40 years of experience working in design, construction and property ranging from project briefing and inception to the delivery and occupation of complex multi-phased developments and commercial buildings.

He co-founded Platform in 2010 and has since worked on major development projects for landowners and investors, including the redevelopment of 90 Long Acre and Templar House in London and ‘Open Up’ at the Royal Opera House.  Achieving planning permission for a landmark redevelopment of 90 Long Acre in Covent Garden has been combined with commissions as varied as managing feasibility studies for the King Edward VII Hospital, mobilising a delivery strategy for the Old Mill Press Lane masterplan for Cambridge University, and sitting on the Design Panel for the LLDC planning authority.

Before establishing Platform, Liam led the master planning and development of the 13-acre More London estate from inception to completion in 2010, liaising with investors and funders to define the development brief and deliver the vision for this important regeneration project. As development director, he was responsible for the selection, appointment, briefing and management of the design teams appointed for each project within this multi-phase development.

At Markborough Properties, Liam was responsible for leading the Thames Court development, an award-winning 250,000sqft office building fronting the River Thames. Following shell and core completion, he supervised the fit-out of the building for both JP Morgan and Rabobank.

Liam began his career as a structural engineer and then moved into project management before joining Stanhope. Whilst at Stanhope he worked on the multi-phased office and railway works development at Ludgate and was responsible for supervising the delivery of 10 Fleet Place and 100 Ludgate Hill, and the fit-out of 1 Fleet Place and 100 New Bridge Street.

Liam maintains an involvement in all Platform projects.
